Last June, the Dean Specialty Foods Group division of Dean Foods spun-off from the parent company and created a new organization – Bay Valley Foods.

This new organization consists of the same production plants, products and formulas that were available under Dean Specialty Foods Group.

In March of 2006, some of the brands have begun to switch. Those are as follows:

• Dean Premium to Bay Valley Premium (pickles and specialty peppers)
• Dean Select to Bay Valley Select (pickles and specialty peppers)
• Dean to Bay Valley Deluxe or Bay Valley Premium (cheese sauce)
• Fieldcrest to Bay Valley Select (cheese sauces and puddings)

The “Dean” brands will not be produced by any other pickle or specialty pepper, cheese sauce or pudding production company in foodservice and will no longer be available.

To those foodservice operators who have been loyal to the Dean brands in these categories – WE THANK YOU!

We also pledge to continue offering the same great quality products under the new Bay Valley brands, packed in the same plants by the same great people.
